Welcome, Rio Vista Neighbors

Caring dentistry - a short drive from Rio Vista.

Rio Vista is a small Solano County city on the Sacramento River, best known for its sturgeon-fishing community and for Trilogy at Rio Vista - a 55+ master-planned neighborhood that has brought thousands of active retirees to the area. For households in Trilogy or the older waterfront neighborhoods, our Lodi office is a comfortable trip east on SR-12: the route is flat, the parking lot is at the front door, and the practice itself is single-story and accessible. The work people come to us for tends to be restorative or cosmetic - implants, crowns, dentures, smile makeovers, adult Invisalign - and the office runs at a pace that respects an older patient's time.

About Rio Vista

Rio Vista - and how we fit into life here.

Rio Vista sits on the eastern edge of Solano County, ZIP 94571, with a population around 10,000 and a long history as a Sacramento River port and fishing town. The biggest demographic shift in the past two decades has been the construction of Trilogy at Rio Vista, a Shea Homes-built 55+ active-adult community with thousands of homes and amenities organized around tennis, golf, and clubs. The result is a community that mixes long-time Delta families with retirees from the Bay Area and Sacramento - many of whom prefer quieter, more deliberate dental care than they might have settled for elsewhere.

The work that draws Rio Vista households into a Lodi practice tends to be restorative or cosmetic - implants, crowns, dentures, smile makeovers, and Invisalign for adults - and the practice is well-set-up for that kind of work. Single doctor, modern in-office imaging, plenty of time per visit, and a team that has done this for decades.

Why Families Choose Us

Why Rio Vista families make the trip.

  • A practice that fits Trilogy's pace

A slower rhythm fits the Trilogy lifestyle - appointments that start on time, plenty of explanation, and one dentist you actually get to know.

  • Comprehensive restorative care

Implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures all happen in our Lodi office. We do a lot of full-mouth restoration cases for active retirees.

  • Cosmetic dentistry done conservatively

Veneers, whitening, and Invisalign for adults - but always conservative, always natural-looking. We will tell you up front if a less invasive option works.

  • Single-story, accessible office

No stairs, no elevators, free parking right at the entrance - every step of the visit is friendly to mobility limitations.

Answers to the questions we hear most often - about the drive, our care, and what to expect at your visit.

How long is the drive from Rio Vista to your Lodi office?

About 22 miles, typically 28-35 minutes via SR-12 east. The drive crosses the Rio Vista Bridge, then runs through the Delta into Lodi.

Do you see Trilogy at Rio Vista residents?

Yes. Trilogy at Rio Vista is one of the residential communities the practice serves regularly. The calm, single-doctor environment and the modern in-office technology are typically the reasons an active retiree commits to the drive.

Is your office friendly to mobility limitations?

Do you handle full-mouth dental implants for Rio Vista patients?

Yes. Dr. Cheung places and restores implants in our Lodi office, including full-mouth cases. We use in-office CBCT 3D imaging for surgical planning and iTero scans for the final restorations.

Do you accept Medicare-supplemental dental plans?

We accept most PPO dental plans. Some Medicare Advantage and supplemental plans include dental coverage that we can also bill - call (209) 369-3617 with your plan name and we will verify benefits before your visit.
